Stat rolls

Every weapon and armour piece that drops, is crafted or rewarded carries one random stat.

Every weapon and armour piece of common quality or better gets one extra stat when it drops, is crafted or is given by a quest. The stat is picked at random and so is its size, from +1 up to a cap set by the item's level. It shows in purple in the loot window, in chat links, in trades and on the auction house, and it never changes. Two copies of the same sword are not worth the same.

Vendor items never roll, because buying the item again would be a free re-roll. Items that drop with their own suffix, like "of the Bear", keep it and get the roll as well.

Tier sets

Raid tier pieces spread over several item levels, so each tier has one cap.
