One world, both factions
Group, guild, trade and queue for battlegrounds with anyone, Alliance or Horde.
Alliance and Horde are still two sides of the war, but not two separate games. You can group, trade, mail, join a guild and talk with anyone, and both sides share one auction house.
Towns and cities
- Guards, vendors, trainers and flight masters of the other side treat you as one of their own. Orgrimmar sells to a human.
- The other faction's home zones and capitals are not enemy territory: walking in does not flag you for PvP, and you rest at their inns.
- When you release you go to the nearest graveyard, whichever side it belongs to.
Who can fight whom
- Two players flagged for PvP who share no group or guild can fight, whatever their faction. Never in a capital or a sanctuary.
- In the Wilderness anyone can attack anyone outside their own guild.
Battlegrounds
Everyone queues together and the battleground splits players into two even teams, by level and item level, keeping groups together. If you are put on the other side, you look like one of its races for the match.
