Classless builds
Buy abilities and talents from all nine classes with essence earned by levelling. Four builds per character.
There are no classes on Project Deus. Every character is the same blank slate and buys its abilities and talents from a catalogue of all nine classes: 425 abilities and 739 talents in 27 trees. Frostbolt beside Mortal Strike, Stealth beside Rejuvenation. You can try any combination in the build maker before you log in.
Essence
Ability Essence (AE) buys abilities and comes with every level. Talent Essence (TE) buys talents and starts at level 10. Each ability rank and each talent shows its price.

- A talent costs its price once, whatever rank you take. There are no tier requirements: any talent in any tree can be bought once you have the level.
- Buying an ability teaches every rank you are high enough for, and later ranks arrive as you level.
- Everyone knows Parry and Dual Wield for free.
- Removing a single entry from your build is free and refunds it.
Resetting a build
A full reset is free up to level 19. After that the price climbs with each level, reaching 10 at level 59, and is 100 from level 60. A Nexus Crystal can be paid instead of the gold.
Specializations
A character can keep up to 4 builds, each with its own glyphs and action bars, and switch between them out of combat, outside battlegrounds, arenas and duels. The first build is free; the others are unlocked in order with tomes sold by Connoisseur Wyatt in every capital.

Glyphs
Glyphs work as in Wrath, from a Glyphs tab in the build window, and any class's glyph fits any character. The six sockets open sooner: one major and one minor socket at levels 15, 30 and 45. Inscription is gone: Connoisseur Wyatt sells every glyph for Nexus Crystals, along with the realm's own, such as the Glyph of Crackling Thunder.
