Open economy

Raid epics, dungeon blues and crafted gear are all tradeable. Both factions share one market.

Nothing you earn is bound to you. Raid epics, dungeon blues, crafted gear and recipes can be traded, mailed and sold on the auction house, so every drop is worth something to somebody. Only quest items and quest tokens stay bound. Enchanted items can be traded with the enchant on.

Both factions share one auction house, one market and the same trade channels: see One world, both factions.

Every piece of gear has a level

Because gear can be passed down, no weapon or armour piece with stats can be worn below its level. Gear that had no level requirement got the one usual for its quality and item level, or the level of the quest that gives it.

Nexus Crystals

Nexus Crystals are the realm's own currency for things gold cannot buy: glyphs, recipes and racial and build resets. They are ordinary items: they can be traded, they sit in your bags, and in the Wilderness they can be lost when you die. See where they come from.

Crafting worth doing

The Profession Update gives every profession something people keep buying, and moves the materials that only dropped in dungeons out into the world.
